The face behind Ceci Creates...
Ceci Foley is a graphic designer from Pittsburgh, PA, specializing in illustration, typography, user experience, and motion. With a BFA in Visual Communication Design and a minor in User Experience Design from Kent State University, Ceci is dedicated to creating art that evokes emotion and tells a story.
During her time at Kent State, Ceci expanded her design skills by collaborating with multiple organizations. She worked as a designer at Ideabase, where she collaborated with other creatives and worked directly with clients to enhance brand identities and print materials. She also served as an illustrative print designer for the university’s fashion magazine, A Magazine, creating illustrations for both the online and print editions and assisting with layout design. Additionally, Ceci interned as a marketing assistant for Kent State Online, where she developed a new brand guideline and applied it across motion, illustrative, and layout designs for all marketing and advertising materials. This summer she will be interning as a graphic designer for Alliance Laundry.
Ceci has also received widespread recognition for being awarded a Student Silver in the B1 -Brand Identity Category and B2 - Brand Collateral Category in the Q2 2024 Online Design Awards Competition for her Bloomfield Saturday Market project. Her work is now prominently featured on ODA’s website, social media channels, and in their annual ODA Winners’ Showcase publication. She is excited to see what the future of design holds for her after graduation and hopes to grow her clientele and experience in her profession. However, post-grad, she is most looking forward to finding new coffee shops to work in and spending more time with her dog, Hank, back home in Pittsburgh, who she misses all the time.
